Who? London Design Museum What? The latest exhibition to arrive at the London Design museum is one centred around the work of Louis Kahn. Featuring a diverse display of Kahn’s models, sketches, photos and original drawing, the exhibition gives an insight to why Kahn is considered a master of twentieth century architecture. The exhibition touches on his influential and particular style and includes unseen footage filmed by Kahn’s son Nathaniel. When? 9th July to 12th October Where? Who? London Design Festival What? The London Design Festival is returning to the capital this September with over 300 separate events, true to its theme of “Design is Everywhere”. This year’s landmark project is the Endless Stair, which will be exhibiting outside of the Tate Modern. There are also smaller partner projects showcasing a mix of product and conceptual designs. The exhibition examines the thought processes behind many of his works, with designs spanning some thirty years. On display will be some of his earliest work, such as 1981’s influential Bag Radio, as well as commissions for Swatch, United Airlines, Krug, Mothercare and the Pet Shop Boys. When? Who? Ferdinand Budicki What? The city of Zagreb will soon open Croatia’s first motor museum, named Ferdinand Budicki after the man who bought the first car into the country. The museum will feature over 50 classic cars and motorcycles.
