Who? Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp

What? In celebration of the 350th anniversary of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, the Antwerp Academy, MoMu, MAS, the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp and Antwerpen Open have joined forces to create a new exhibition. Entitled “Happy Birthday Dear Academie”, the exhibition will feature highlights of fashion and visual arts and will comprise of a number of events and smaller exhibitions.

    The Royal Academy has held its Summer Exhibition since 1769. Owing to the open nature of the exhibitions, it’s generally regarded as a snapshot of art of the time as well as being a chance to see the avant-garde of the art world.
