Who? Gray M.C.A.

What? Specialists in modern and contemporary art, Gray M.C.A., are holding an exhibition of post-war fashion illustrations. Four decades of fashion illustrations are on display from the 1940s to the 1970s, by fashion illustrators from America, Germany, France and Great Britain. Often drawn from memory, of what was seen in the fashion shows, the illustrations capture the elegance of the runway pieces with simplicity and subtlety. Prices for the pieces range from £300 – £10,000.

    Napoleon Tinqueux festival in Reims

    Who? City of Tinqueux What? History buffs should head to Tinqueux this April where, to mark the 200th Anniversary of Napoleon’s French campaign in 1814, the city is hosting re-enactments of the Battle of Reims. During the two day festival, there will be a torchlight procession, parade, brass band, sound and light show as well as the re-enactment itself. Rousette had been a painter for some 15 years before turning her hand to design.
