What? The 5th Gourmet Abu Dhabi returns to the city again this year. As one of the biggest food festivals in the UAE, it focuses on haute cuisine. There will be chef demonstrations, gourmet dinners, and themed events set around the city. Ticket prices vary according to events.

Who? City of Avignon What? The Luminessences d’Avignon is returning to the city once again for its annual installation celebrating the papal heritage of the region. The venue is the largest gothic palace in the Europe and was built in only twenty years under the reign of two Popes. As one of the two Papal seats, the palace was home to seven Popes and two schismatic Popes. Bo London is the first restaurant outside of Hong Kong for Alvin Leung, the chef/patron of the two Michelin starred Bo Innovation. The Mill Street site, based in the heart of Mayfair, reportedly costed Leung £1m to lease and fit. Wood reclaimed from renovations of the Bo London site has been fitted to one of the two semi-private dining rooms. The wood is protected behind glass made to the same shade as Leung’s glasses.
