Who? Godiva chocolates What? For this year’s Christmas season the Belgian chocolatiers have released a Royal Swarovski Box. Who? Hotel Xenia What? Lovers of wholesome Italian food should head to Hotel Xenia for their new guest chef series. The special suppers pop-up every six weeks and will feature Luca Collami (Liguria), Andrea Incerti (Emilia, Romagna), Donato Episcopo (Veneto), Paolo Barrale (Campania) and Stefano Masanti (Lombardia) in the coming months. Who? Alta Badia What? Alta Badia’s ski resorts will be presenting their food offerings for the coming season at Gourmet Skisafari Alta Badia. Guests will get the opportunity to sample the dishes created as part of the Slope Food initiative where gourmet appetisers have been created by Michelin-starred chefs. Modernist Cuisine at Home is written by Nathan Myhrvold and Maxime Bilet, along with over 20 other contributors including chefs, machinists, photographers and editors. There are a total of 210,000 words making up Modernist Cuisine at Home. The cover is of a de-constructed grilled cheese sandwich. Its recipe doesn’t actually exist in the book though the different components are covered in the section on grilled cheese sandwiches. The weighty (9.9lbs) book’s foreword is by Martha Stewart… and Thomas Keller. At the beginning of the book, there is a two-page user guide.
